What has happened to our collective emotional state? I understand we are all under extreme pressure each and every day but are we under that much pressure that every word, every phrase, every action has to come under scrutiny?

Everyone must understand that you can not be hurt. Someone can punch you out...ouchie (ask Chris Rock if he would've had words over a slap)...but you (yes you) can not be hurt by words. They are words. They aren't made of tangible material. They are sounds coming from someone's mouth. Could be a friend, partner, stranger, coworker, celebrity or anyone with the ability to speak or type.
Words end up causing you consistent bleeding of emotions? You can't clot your emotions long enough to make it stop? You've allowed yourself to fall victim to a disease that allows you to consistently hurt over words and phrases? Did this happen to you quickly? Did you inherit it through family or friends? Were you attacked by someone who gave you this seemingly incurable disease?
The theme of this week is to control your own agency. You are the keeper of your thoughts and unless someone has power over you then there are steps to take to make sure you're not coming down with this evil virus. The only way for productive and effective business/leadership is to monitor your emotional health.
