"Take me with you"

The sun wasn't coming up as early as it was last week. There is that feeling again. Summer is leaking away. Turning from thoughts of freedom to thoughts of...structure.

No matter what age you are the feeling of rigid structure looms when those sun rises struggle to show themselves.

Why does a few months of heat and sun make us feel free? Looser? Less clothes? Maybe but I doubt it.

School will always have an effect on that time period but that's not it.

The summer is like a revealing of ourselves. A full reveal.

We feel like there are no confines. Limitless. Boundless.

We don't need four walls or a roof anymore. The weather allows us to be part of the earth. Connected.

Growth.

As if our eyes are opening up as the sun rises over the edge of the earth. Peeling back.

The light comes in.

Then it happens. The darkness starts to book end each day...closer and closer.

The first cold breeze on your skin is a wake up call from a dream. Someone pulling the covers off of you slowly. Time to wake up.

Reality is waiting.

Breathe it all in. Slowly. All the feelings, memories, smells and warmth of summer.

This will last you through the next phase of your life and although the fall, winter and spring will bring its own storylines take your summer with you.
