"Check yo self before you wreck yourself"

You're big time right??? Nah...you're not but if you're a leader sometimes you forget that. Sometimes you forget the ONLY reason you are where you are is because the people who work on your team have elevated you to that status.

Sure you worked hard, you networked, you sacrificed but ultimately the reason you are still there is because the people around you. You are standing on the shoulder of giants. Your team invests their time and effort so that they succeed but overall...you succeed. So why would anyone have a combative environment?

If you lead your strength should lie in your ability to let go of your ego and allow your team to lead. This allows for learning and growth for everyone. The thing that slows down any organization is the ego and if you were to look around your surroundings is it happening in others or....you? By letting go your ego it only makes everyone stronger, agile and ultimately happy.

Value driven organizations invest 3 TIMES more in sales training than others. Would you go into any game without training or practice? Has any coach in the history of sports just left things to chance? Never. There's been no successful businesses or teams that haven't put in the time to grow, learn....train.

Your team wants you to succeed because it is a reflection of THEM. Success isn't delegated to an individual when you're in a team environment so take your ego and throw it away. The only thing it's doing to you and your team is holding you back and unless you're interested in not moving forward it's time to leverage the most important aspect of your success...your team.
