Many companies, industries and media have had their day in the sun and some have become dust in the wind.

That being written, we all have an expiry date. We just don't know when it is. You can go to a psychic but you're best bet is to save some of that money buy some good food so you can extend that expiry date.

Why the morbid post? Well, let's look at it another way. Since we all understand that everything (AND I MEAN EVERYTHING) has an expiry date on it then instead of working like a race to the end...work on the beliefs that built that company, industry or media.

Focusing your time and energy on what is out of your control is a waste. If you truly enjoy whatever area you are in take inventory on why and put all the efforts towards that instead of the abyss of the unknown.

There will come a time where your clients won't spend, your product won't sell, your industry isn't as viable as it once was and so on. Just remember, that the more energy you put towards fear the less focus you put into your passion for your work.

This does not come without an element fear but if you are truly heightening your strengths of why the product/service existed in the first place there's hope. If these factors don't apply anymore to your business...then there is an absolute must of changing course (as we discussed in videos and blogs previously - sunk cost fallacy).

Take a course of action and be willing to concede that some things are out of your control. The only thing you can truly control is how prepared, diligent, effective and personable you are. This type of mentality leads into the idea of personal brand building but if you wipe away that term just think 'you're being a true professional'.
