Tranquilize with the Trivial

"I'm on a diet."

Although I should go on a diet and probably watch that series someone mentioned to me multiple times...does it ever seem to get trivial in your day to day to hear these points? Questions? Comments?


What should we do about this? Stop speaking or communicating altogether? No. That's not the answer. Maybe there is no answer BUT there's a very logical answer for businesses...

"STOP ENCOURAGING TRIVIAL THOUGHTS." The end....well not really the end of this blog but get the idea?

Our society has been ripe for legitimate, true, meaningful change and that includes businesses but don't make it 'trivial'.


IF you have a direction or thought take it and promote it. Do not ultimately fall into the 'trivial trap'. Is your marketing director challenging the boundaries of your messaging? Is your sales director providing the same answers to questions asked? Is your product or service jumping in the same pool over and over again? Do you have an office that has allowed poor behaviour? Weak communication? Swimming in the same pool as before?





The world tried to take a pause and force you/business to look inward and if you have come out of this pandemic with the 'need to think out of the box' comment but only realized that you closed the box tighter....you're in trouble. The world is coming back but come back stronger not weaker.


Don't allow for behavioural issues to fester. Take the step immediately in rectifying your team. You've allowed for self reflection now bring it for your team. There are no excuses for anyone to act poorly regardless of their situation. These office 'bullies' could easily be silenced by your actions. You wouldn't allow behaviour in your home and you would definitely wouldn't allow it to you or your family outside the office walls then why within? These cracks have been there before and will only widen.



Hold yourself accountable on every level with regards to helping the society around you, pushing your messaging into areas you never thought you could, entertaining ideas that you never thought you would and you'll see the results.

You'll understand that your business is increasing their level of meaning which will ultimately increase your employees reason for being part of the team and that's all you can ask for. Waiting to hear about profits? Well...if your employees see meaning in their work...how hard do you think they will work?


Take a step in the right direction and standing out will happen naturally and more importantly...enjoyably.
