Ever wonder how we became so entrenched in having people tell us 'how to feel?'
"You should be thankful."
"Could be worse."
"There's people who have less."
"Think about the future generations." "That's offensive to some."
How did we get here and why? I won't even attempt to answer that but I will suggest that instead of having people tell us how to feel maybe we can start a revolution on...doing without analyzing.
What does that mean? Well, let's take you and your business. Do you have something that you believe would work but have been told that it's probably not a good idea because of the climate we live in? Failing...failing...failing....are you constantly afraid to fail? Things break.

How many successful ventures have you had in your life versus how many ventures have not gone the way you wanted?
Stephen King said "When you're still too young to shave optimism is a perfectly legitimate response to failure."
You are young you don't know any better (sometimes). When you fail multiple times you build up a thickness around you that makes you less malleable to your surroundings.
This type of mentality can limit your thinking and willingness to even attempt ventures or journeys into the unknown.

You are allowed to feel any way you want. That's the beauty of being human. The goal should not be thinking of "could be worse, you should be thankful, etc, etc" it should be a goal of "what's next? how can I change this step or that step, where can I turn? etc, etc". Just thoughts of getting to that spot and when it's time....be thankful that you accomplished the journey or venture. We will all have time to reminisce but do it when you're fulfilled not when others tell you that you are. You will know when.
